Roxy loves a comfy place to take a nap. What could be better than a pile of pillows on the couch?
Clearly the girl lives a tough life!
Do all dachshunds destroy their toys, or is it just the ones in my house? They pull the stuffing out of pretty much anything and everything. They chew the ears off of monkeys, elephants, lions. So, we have had to resort to hiding their toys and only bringing them out when we can supervise.
There are a few toys they can have all, well most, of the time.
These hard plastic toys are pretty boring, but good to chase. Just don’t hit the wall!
Smart toys. These are fun and entertain them as long as there is a treat inside.
Fabric tied in a knot – good for tug of war, and free if you do what I did, and just cut up old pajama pants.
This past weekend, in honor of her mother’s birthday, Roxy attempted a little gardening.
As you can see, she didn’t want to garden outside. It was much too warm for her, so she brought the pot into the bedroom.
However, she quickly realized that tulips might look pretty, but the bulbs taste even better!
And, of course Sydney wanted in on the action once she realized the bulbs were round like her beloved ball.
Needless to say, the tulips did not survive.
Sydney is three today. Happy Birthday!
In honor of the big day we went to the park – with some balloons and her favorite toy. The racquet ball.
This is how she spent most of the morning. Running with ears flying out behind her in the wind.
Thankfully, she didn’t mind the balloons at all.
Cutest puppy ever. 🙂
